Our story is one of transformation — from our origins in pharmaceutical ingredient distribution to our expansion into specialised medicines, from synergic acquisitions to the development of European partnerships — driven by scientific rigor, strategic vision and an unwavering commitment to public health.

1966

Foundations and early development

Intsel Chimos traces its roots back to 1966 with the creation of Chimos, initially focused on the distribution of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. 

In the early 1990s, the company progressively shifts towards pharmaceutical activities, specialising in complex and essential medicines for rare and serious diseases, while building strong expertise and trusted relationships within the French healthcare system.

1996

Creation of Intsel Chimos

The merger of Intsel Marsing and Chimos in 1996 gives rise to Intsel Chimos, combining complementary skills to better address the evolving needs of hospitals and healthcare stakeholders in France.
2009

Integration into the Biolid Group

In 2009, Intsel Chimos joins the Danish Biolid Group. This step provides long-term stability and additional resources, supporting investments in quality, infrastructure and sustainable development.
2017–2018

Strategic growth through acquisitions

The acquisition of Diverchim CDMO and Centre Lab marks a key expansion phase, significantly strengthening technical capabilities, pharmaceutical services and national presence, while enabling more integrated solutions for the healthcare ecosystem.
2021

New leadership and transformation

A new management team initiates a long-term transformation focused on regulatory excellence, operational efficiency and digitalisation, with the ambition to support continuity of care and become the trusted exploitant partner for pharmaceutical product launches in France.
2023

Founding member of EUROPACCESS

In 2023, Intsel Chimos becomes a founding member of EUROPACCESS, a European alliance dedicated to improving patient access across more than 30 countries by combining regulatory, early access, distribution and market access expertise.
